Update, July 24, 2026: name selected (TUBKINS) and clearance executed.
After this report, the federal register was searched live in the USPTO Trademark Search tool, and the DIY common-law and Pennsylvania state searches (Path B) were run. TUBKINS came through clean and is the chosen name. The federal register, the Pennsylvania trademark and business registers, and the Class 3 goods wording are all settled; the single common-law hit was run down and found discontinued. See the new sections below: Clearance Executed and Handles and Amazon. The fifteen-name table and research addendum are kept as the record of how TUBKINS was chosen.
Every candidate name was run through an independent agent that (1) searched for live U.S. trademarks in International Class 3 (soaps, cosmetics) and Class 5, plus common-law sellers on the open web, Amazon, and Etsy, and (2) checked domain availability by live RDAP and WHOIS lookup on July 24, 2026. Promising names then got a second, adversarial agent that re-ran the checks and tried to knock the verdict down.
Two honest limitations.
1. Direct reads of the USPTO register, Justia Trademarks, and Trademarkia were blocked (HTTP 403) during the run, so trademark findings rest on their search-index listings plus general web search, not a full register pull. Before you file or commit real money on any name, order a formal USPTO knockout search (TESS/TSDR) or a clearance search from a trademark attorney.
2. Domain availability changes by the minute. If you want a name, register the domain the same day.
| Name | Verdict | .com | Best available domain | Key trademark finding | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tubkins | GO | available | tubkins.com (+ tubkins.baby) | No live Class 3 mark found; coined and distinctive. Only neighbor is Tubby Todd (shared "Tub-" prefix, distinguishable). | Register tubkins.com today; formal knockout search; file Class 3 intent-to-use. |
| Bathkins | GO | available | bathkins.com (+ bathkins.baby) | No live identical mark in any class; coined. "Bath" root is suggestive, not descriptive. | Register bathkins.com today; formal knockout search; file Class 3 intent-to-use. |
| Bubbo | CONDITIONAL | registered | bubbo.baby, getbubbo.com, hellobubbo.com | No live exact Class 3 blocker (both BUBBO regs are dead/unrelated). Real risk is confusion with Babo Botanicals (near-identical sound, same baby-cleanser space) and Bubbsi (shared "Bubb-"). | Viable only on an alternate domain, and only after a 2(d) confusion review against Babo Botanicals. |
| Sudz Buddies | CONDITIONAL | available | sudzbuddies.com (+ sudsbuddies.com) | Domains are clean, but SUDSY BUDDIES is a live, renewed federal reg (Class 21, cleansing puffs) and a live Etsy seller sells "Sudsy Buddies" kids soap. | Clean domain, but clear the SUDSY BUDDIES conflict before adopting. |
| Ducky & Co. | CONDITIONAL | available | duckyandco.com | SQUEAKY DUCKY (Reg. 5199471) is live in Class 3 for handmade soap bars, so a 2(d) refusal/opposition is a live risk. "Ducky" field is crowded. | Clean domain, but the Class 3 DUCKY soap reg is a real hurdle. |
| Scrub Cub | CONDITIONAL | registered | scrubcub.baby | Scrub Daddy runs a litigious "Scrub ___" family and there is an in-class concern. No live identical Class 3 blocker. | Needs domain workaround and a confusion review vs. Scrub Daddy. |
| Wiggle & Wash | CONDITIONAL | available | wiggleandwash.com | Downgraded on verification: WIGGLE is live in Class 3 (Reg. 7050972, the Wiggle cycling retailer). | Clean domain, but the Class 3 WIGGLE mark must be cleared. |
| Dot & Bubble | CONDITIONAL | registered | neither checked .com free; dotbubble.com is parked/for-sale | BUBBLE (Bubble Skincare) is a live Class 3 owner and active enforcer; Mr. Bubble also in the space. | Needs a domain purchase and a bubble-field confusion review. |
| Peekaboo Bar | CONDITIONAL | registered | peekaboosuds.com | No live Class 3 blocker (closest, "Peekaboo" for soap, is dead), but the "Peekaboo" field is crowded in commerce. | Domain workaround; crowded field lowers distinctiveness. |
| Squeaky | CONDITIONAL | registered | squeaky.baby | SQUEAKY CLEAN! (Reg. 4291942) is live in Class 3 for the exact goods (soap, baby hand soap, shampoo, body wash), plus a pending SQUEAKY CLEAN application. | No .com and a live in-class family; weak pick. |
| Puddle | CONDITIONAL | registered | puddle.baby | No live registered blocker, but Puddles (kids skincare, puddles.in) is a common-law user of a near-identical name for analogous goods. | Domain + common-law collision; not clean. |
| Sudsy | CONDITIONAL | registered | sudsy.baby | "Sudsy" is descriptive/laudatory for soap (likely 2(e)(1) refusal, Supplemental Register at best) and the "Suds/Sudsy" common-law field is crowded. | Weak, hard-to-defend mark. Not recommended. |
| Little Lather | CONDITIONAL | registered | littlelather.baby | LULLABY LATHER is a pending Class 3 application expressly covering baby bubble bath, shampoo, and soap. "Little Lather" is also descriptive-suggestive. | Domain taken + pending similar in-class mark. Weak. |
| Bubbaloo | CONDITIONAL | registered | bubbaloobaby.com | Two live, renewed Class 30 BUBBALOO bubble-gum registrations. Different class, but a well-known confection mark. | Cross-class confusion risk; not recommended. |
| Bumble & Bar | NO-GO | available | — | Bumble and bumble is live in Class 3, Bumble has filed to extend into Class 3 bath products, and Bubble Bar is a live Class 3 mark. Famous-mark territory. | Do not pursue. |
Clearance priority to send to a trademark attorney: Tubkins first, then Bathkins. Both need a formal knockout search to confirm no recently filed intent-to-use application is lurking (a coined mark with near-zero web footprint is exactly the kind a web search cannot rule out).
Safe to keep as written: Dr. Squatch's >$400M annual sales; Scrub Daddy's $1B+ lifetime and ~$340M 2024 revenue; the 360iResearch baby-bath figures ($4.57B in 2025 to $7.44B by 2032); Hello Bello's ~$179M revenue and October 2023 Chapter 11; and Babylist's "more than half of first-time parents," 9M customers, ~$900M GMV.
Three corrections to make before the deck goes out:
Optional refreshes for current numbers: Scrub Daddy lifetime sales are now cited at ~$1.3 to 1.4B, and Babylist GMV has reportedly passed $1B.
Yes. No major baby brand sells a fun, character or mascot-driven solid cleansing bar for babies. Every major-brand baby bar (Johnson's, Baby Dove, Mustela, and the notable recent Cetaphil Baby toddler bar) is plain, clinical, and function-first. The leading DTC names (Frida Baby, Pipette, Tubby Todd) have no bar at all, only liquid washes. "Fun character" soap exists only in two disconnected pockets: unbranded indie Etsy/Amazon animal-shaped bars aimed at older kids as gifts, and licensed-character bubble bath, bath toys, and plush soap-holders (SoapSox).
The manufacturing and regulatory foundations are sound and current. All four named manufacturers check out, with caveats:
Regulatory core is locked and unchanged: a syndet bar making cosmetic claims is a cosmetic under FDA/MoCRA, not a CPSC "true soap" (21 CFR 701.20). Facility registration and product listing have been enforced since July 1, 2024, and the first biennial registration renewal window opened July 1, 2026. Responsible-Person label contact and 15-day adverse-event reporting apply now.
Three moving pieces since the original memo: the cosmetics GMP proposed rule has stalled onto FDA's Long-Term Actions list; the talc asbestos-testing rule was withdrawn November 28, 2025; and the fragrance-allergen disclosure NPRM, targeted for May 2026, cannot be confirmed as published as of July 24, 2026 (treat it as still pending).
Technical feasibility is not in doubt: a tear-free, pH ~5.5 mild syndet bar built on sodium cocoyl isethionate ("baby foam") plus supporting gentle surfactants is a mature, established product. "Tear-free" is substantiated by ocular-irritation testing, not by the label phrase.
After the report above, the register was searched directly rather than through indexes, which closes the "register read was blocked" limitation. TUBKINS is now a high-confidence GO.
Verified in the USPTO Trademark ID Manual on July 24, 2026. File exactly:
International Class 003: Non-medicated soaps for babies; baby shampoo
tubkins.com is secured (registered through Cloudflare). tubkins.baby was left open by choice (about $50 per year, recurring, optional). hellotubkins.com and gettubkins.com remain available as defensive grabs.
The exact "@tubkins" is mostly taken, so the recommendation is one consistent variant across every platform: tubkinsbaby, which is open everywhere checked.
| Platform | @tubkins (exact) | tubkinsbaby (recommended) |

Claim tubkinsbaby on Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube in one sitting for a consistent set, and grab @tubkins on YouTube defensively, since it is the one place the exact name is free. Account creation needs your own email, phone, and (for Amazon) tax and bank details, so those steps are yours to complete.
Status as of July 24, 2026: the federal and Pennsylvania register knockouts are done and clean, the goods are locked, tubkins.com is secured, and the handle plan is set. What remains:
Generated from a 32-agent clearance and research workflow, then extended July 24, 2026 with live searches of the USPTO Trademark Search and ID Manual, the Pennsylvania trademark and business registers, and social and marketplace availability. Findings are preliminary and not a legal opinion; register and availability results were current as of that date. A professional full clearance search is still recommended before committing spend.
